The sound design for Ghosthunter will begin this weekend. Simon (Editor) downloaded all sound and picture files onto an Avid drive, this was then taken from the Avid suite over to Twickenham and uploaded onto Mark & Sam's system.

The 1st cut of the film is complete. We met with Barrington today to show him this cut and discuss the potential score for the film. Barrington was very enthusiastic and had some very interesting ideas. He's the first person to see the film who wasn't directly involved with the production and it was exciting, although nerve wracking, to show the film in this early condition.

We're now able to start the sound edit and are arranging, this week, to transfer all the sound and picture files to Mark and Sam Auguste.

We've been invited to attend the Cannes Film Festival with Quantel, one of our sponsors. This will be our first visit to the festival and and although Ghosthunter won't be completed we aim to take a trailer for the film - as well as a couple of the treatments we've been working on for our first feature.

The first assembly of the film was ready for viewing last night. Due to our editors commitments to the feature he's working on it has taken until now to put the film together. We can now begin to fine cut the film and release the effects sequence to Quantel, the fine cut will take place at evenings and weekends over the next few weeks. After such a long delay it was wonderful to actually start work on the post production of the film. There is a lot of work ahead.

Our book, now featured in Focal Press' new brochure, is due for publication in October this year. ISBN 0 240 51624 9.

On the environmentally friendly subject, we've decided, with Future Forests, to make "Ghosthunter" carbon neutral. It seems this has never been done before and we'll be the first carbon neutral short feature. Details of what carbon neutrality is all about can be found on their website, www.futureforests.com.
